Welcome to Baga’s House—A Place to Begin Again
Baga’s House, Inc. is a newly established nonprofit rooted in the heart of Central Illinois, built on the belief that healing is heroic, and that no one should have to start over alone.
Named in honor of a beloved elder, Baga’s House is more than an organization—it’s a homebase for hope. A place where people are welcomed as they are, where second chances are sacred, and where we work to make sure every neighbor knows: you still matter.
We’re here to support, empower, and uplift those who’ve been overlooked.
And we’re just getting started.
Our Mission
To create a space where overlooked individuals—especially young adults and second-chance seekers—can reconnect with purpose, opportunity, and each other.
We believe in:
- Practical solutions that meet real needs
- Hands-on learning that leads to real results
- Community interdependence as the foundation for resilience
At Baga’s House, we don’t just teach skills.
We build confidence, belonging, and momentum.
Where We Are Now
In 2025, we launched our first signature event:
🌟 The Fresh Start Job Fair
A new kind of workforce event—designed to remove barriers, connect people to opportunity, and remind our community that it’s never too late to start again.
This event is our first cornerstone—but it won’t be the last.
What’s Coming Next
We are actively developing a suite of hands-on training and mentorship programs to address local needs in:
- Culinary Arts
- Urban Agriculture & Gardening
- Digital Skills & Coding
- Carpentry & Woodworking (planned)
- Automotive Repair (planned)
- Adult Literacy (planned)
These programs are designed to teach real-world skills and foster community interdependence. They’ll combine project-based learning with peer support and mentorship—giving participants not just something to do, but something to believe in.
